Although the iPhone 16 will come with many important new features, unfortunately we won’t be able to use all of them right away. In this content, we look at the features that will be added to the phone later.
iPhone 16 Features You Can’t Use Immediately Even If You Pay For Them
Apple officially introduced the iPhone 16 models to us on Monday evening. The phones came with many important innovations, from the “Camera Control” button to their new processors and artificial intelligence-friendly designs.
However, it was also announced that some features of the iPhone 16 will unfortunately not be available immediately. In other words, those who buy the phone soon will have to wait a little longer to benefit from all the innovations. In this content, we look at the features that will not come directly with the iPhone 16.
Two-stage pressing feature of the “Camera Control” button
The Camera Control button was one of the most striking parts of the phones. This button would be useful for many things, from opening the camera with a single click and taking a photo to recording video by holding it down and performing functions such as zooming by swiping.
In addition to these, it was announced that a feature called two-stage pressing would be coming. However, this feature will not be added to Camera Control immediately.
The company says that the feature will come towards the end of this year. When we look at what it does, we can say that it will allow you to automatically adjust functions such as focus with a light press.
Visual Intelligence
This was one of the best features shown with the iPhone 16. Visual Intelligence, supported by artificial intelligence, allowed the user to get answers to the questions they were curious about using the camera with the help of the Camera Control button.
By the way, this feature, which has a function like Google Lens, allows you to point the camera at something you see and get information about it with a single click. Let’s note that it will receive support from both Google and ChatGPT.
Unfortunately, this feature won’t come with the iPhone 16 right away. The company says it will add it to phones towards the end of the year.
New Siri
Unfortunately, the new Siri will not come with the iPhone 16. According to the company’s statements, we will see this feature with the iOS 18.1 update to be offered in October. It should be noted that the feature will come to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in addition to the iPhone 16.
Apple Intelligence features
This is perhaps the most surprising and frustrating. Apple does not offer the iPhone 16 models, which it says are designed “completely for Apple Intelligence,” with these artificial intelligence features, and says users will have to wait another month for Apple Intelligence.
According to the company, these features, which will completely change the phones, will come to users with iOS 18.1, which will be released in October.
