The iPhone 16 will come with a 6.1-inch 60Hz refresh rate OLED display, just like the iPhone 15. Its maximum brightness is said to be 2000 nits on sunny days. In addition, there are things like a thinner frame design, advanced display technologies.
Apple normally brings screen improvements to the Pro models first. So the screen features on the Pro will probably be added to the standard model next year.
Processor and performance
A18 processor

Apple has prepared a brand new processor for the new generation iPhone models.
In other words, we will not see the previous generation Pro chipset added to the standard model this year as in previous years.
The company will use a completely new processor called A18 in the entire iPhone 16 series.
The processor was designed specifically for the iPhone 16.
Thanks to its 16-core structure, it will be a suitable processor for future artificial intelligence features with Apple Intelligence.
The processor, which comes with serious performance improvements, has 2 performance and 4 efficiency cores.
The new chip offers 40% better GPU performance than the iPhone 15 and 50% better than the iPhone 14. CPU performance is 30% and 50% better, respectively.
Camera

Unlike the Pro models, we don’t see any major changes to the camera side of the standard and Plus models.
We said we would see a vertical dual camera setup on the back. Only the aperture of the ultra-wide camera has been improved to f/2.2.

When we look at the video side, we see 4K video recording at 120 FPS.
In addition, ProRes 4K video recording support when connected to external storage, 4K recording support in QuickTake, JPEG-XL format support for lossless photo shooting, and the ability to remove wind images from videos will also be available on the model.
A brand new shutter button
Apple will add a new button, currently called the “shutter button,” to the iPhone 16 models.
The button, which is expected to be on the same side as the power button, is expected to act as a shutter button.
It can be used to take photos and videos. Thanks to its touch-sensitive technology, it has features such as focusing when pressed lightly, taking photos when pressed hard, zooming in and out by swiping, and shooting videos by pressing and swiping.
Action button comes to standard and Plus models
Apple added a very useful button called the “Action Button” to last year’s iPhone 15 Pro models. This button replaces the mute button and allows you to access many functions from the shortcut key to firing the flash and opening the camera.
Battery
We will also see the iPhone 16 improve its battery capacity. The battery capacity of the standard model will increase to 3,561 mAh. Considering that the previous generation had 3,349 mAh, this means a 6% increase.
In addition, fast charging support will increase by a significant 48% to 40W. We can say that we will see longer battery life and faster charging in the iPhone 16. Let’s add that MagSafe support will increase by 33% to 20W.
Apple Intelligence
Of course, one of the most important innovations Apple has brought this year is Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features. The company said that these features would only come to the iPhone 15 Pro and above.
